What is Vasculitis?
Vasculitis is a medical condition in which inflammation of blood vessels leads to thickening, narrowing and weakening of the blood vessels. These actions restrict the blood flow which leads to organ and tissue damage.
Fever, fatigue, weight loss, blood clots and nerve injury are the most observed symptoms in Vasculitis.
Treatment includes medications such as NSAIDs, corticosteroids, immune-suppressive drugs that control the symptoms of MCTD. New anti-rheumatic medications have recently been developed for the treatment of this condition.
